Denise Lester Dance Academy was founded by Denise Lester in 1971.  Suzie Brown took over the studio in 2016 after a lifetime of dance with DLDA. Suzie started at DLDA at 3 years old and  the passion and professionalism that has lead Suzie through her dance career is reflected in how she runs the studio today.

Suzie is an award-winning talented dancer, teacher and choreographer who has been a show director/choreographer at Canada’s Wonderland for the past 30 years, assistant choreographer of movies working with legends such as Aretha Franklin, James Brown, Robin Williams and more, and performing with the Canadian Armed Forces for the United Nations across Canada and around the world.

Suzie is joined with her daughter Mohogany Brown another accomplished, awarded winning dancer. Mohogany is assistant director of DLDA and Suzie’s second hand. Mohogany has performed on  many stages, in music videos and commercials and is a member of the Toronto Raptors Dance Pak.
